Hot Spring
by defiant.sky
Shiyan Hotspring resort. Cant really find much infor on it online. Its a 3start hotel, which I highly suspect who gave it ratings. Last wrote that it has the horse-riding facilities which it no longer have. It does still have the hot spring, 7 pools in all, including interesting pool in pool spring, wine pool, milk pool, hot/cold pool.
Its located far far far from the train station. Took ard 1-2hrs to travel there by cab...so Just tell the cab driver wanna go Shi Yan Resort...Its very very far~
They open til 11pm or 12am, but they will start closing all the lights by like 10plus...not too friendly. But its a...erm....Yay-place for the guys...the brochures they included in the hotel room is so... (>.<)..it shows ladies wearing skirt and low cut dresses massaging guys on bed...
Its more of the places for locals I guess, cos they were all so surprised when we turned up. Btw, the hotel, 3 star resort...has NO lift. There were however mahjong in the little living room. Water has a metal taste, and the aircon is so hot I woke up in the middle of the nite sweating. :(
Overall, not a good experience, cos I m nt there for their 'special service', though the hot spring is enjoyable...
Flights to Fuyong & Shenzhen
by victorwkf
There is a new airport located just next to the town of Fuyong and about 1 hour drive from Shenzhen. This airport receives both domestic and international flights to Shenzhen. From 2006, the budget airlines Tiger Air flies from Singapore directly to Shenzhen.
Windows of the World

My wife and I went there early afternoon on a Monday. There were very few poeple until later in the afternoon when hoards of buses brought tourist there. Be sure to watch the evening performance at the main stage after dark. The stage is impressive and the show outstanding.
The sound system is the best I have heard for an outdoor show. Do not miss it ! Get the RMB10 seats for the show. The show is free if you are willing to sit on stools. For that price you get a chair with a back to rest on.
spa and beauty treatments

There are spas and then there's Casmana Spa. This spacious spa is one of the nicest and cleanest beauty spas around the city. The staff are professional (however, limited English speaking capability. The interior is truly relaxing. Equipment new and modern. Services available are facial treatments of various kinds, massage, manicure and pedicure and others. You'll need a Chinese speaking friend to take advantage of this place's numerous services. They also offer weekday yoga classes.
Building a Manufacturing Plant in China

"Shenzhen"
Prior to the transformation of Hong Kong from a British Crown Colony to a Special Administrative Region Government (HKSARG) of China we had to take the train from Hong Kong to Shenzhen. At the border in Lo Wu we needed to present our passports with a visitors visa that we could obtain in the visa service center in H. K.
From the station at the border we used to take a taxi for the ride to Shenzhen, usually after border formalities and waiting time of approximately 1 hour, this trip took another 1/2 hour to have a breakfast at one of the developing Shenzhen hotels.
Surprisingly, already early in the morning all over in the lobby were smiling Chinese beauties (and not so beautiful ones) waiting for offering their services as "guides" ;-)
After breakfast it took us about 1 1/2 hour more to go to our factory in the outskirts of Guangzhou. We manufactured there some plastics and ink ribbons for the computer printer industry.
Our workers were given free board and logging. The day room in our boarding house and the recreation room in the factory were equipped with color TVs and therefore, packed in the evening and breaks, respectively. One day an official came and forced us to change the color TVs to black and white TVs in order not to unbalance the mood of factory workes for other companies in that region.
We had to do it. That was in 1991/1992. I do not have any idea whether it has changed by now, but most likely with the opening of China and after the old man Deng Xiaoping transferred powers. Certainly, without Xiaoping Shenhzen would have not developed at such pace.
