where to buy computer ?
by yuming about sai ge electronic square
this is where shenzhen people will go if they want to "set up " a computer. There also have some digi or electronic things for sale, like digi-camera.
It is in the central of shenzhen, huge building and have 7 floor, more than thousand sales counters.
Tips:
1, It is a huge place, neally not possible to finish every sales counter. You'd better get a shopping list and use it to find only what you want. Each floor have its topic. Choose the floor you want to go.
2, each sales counter means a single shop. Though what they sale is familar, you should better walk arround before you buy. Different counter has different price, also the quality . The price is also negotiatable. Have a Chinese friend maybe easier. You can also do it yourself, since there are so many counter sale same one thing. the competition is sure hard.
3. If you feel no good with what you buy, you can change it , if the goods really broken , maybe you can change it (I dont know cause I have no this kind experience. ) If you feel any unhappy. calm down and remember to find the manager in SAI GE
anyway. Good luck!! I am, personally, no interesting at computer or electronic thing at all ....
so dont expect me say alot....:) cash
ShenZhen Airport to LuoHu
by bpacker
If you need to get from Shen Zhen to downtown Luohu, you can either take the
1)Nice big blue airport bus which would dump you at the backside of Luohu Commercial City or
2)A mini bus which would dump you at a nicer location in Luohu Commercial City (at the front, near the bus terminal) or
3)A cab which cost 5 times more than option 1 and 2.
Both buses and cabs are just outside of the departure gates. The bus cost 20RMB and takes about 1 hour to travel to Luohu whereas the cab cost about 5 times more and takes about 30-40min to reach there.
Tip: Do not sucuumb to temptation and follow those lousy touts who approach you at the depart. gates. Chances are, they are illegal taxi drivers with no price meters. Go with them and you'll get fleeced/robbed/God knows what else. The legal taxis are just wating outside.
Things to see in Shenzhen
by Winged
Shenzhen is, for the most part, a new city. If you want to see buildings and sites of historical significance, go elsewhere. When I went to Shenzhen it was after having seen lots of historical places; I was ready to just relax and have fun. For such a purpose, Shenzhen is a good place, especially for young people who want to shop (you can wander around in the middle of the city, lots of good stuff) and go to theme parks and stuff. There's a nice zoo/safari park which is worth a look if you're into that sort of thing.
Theme parks include Chinese Folk Cultural Villages (recreations of villages of a number of nationalities in China), Window to the World (replications of famous sights from all over the world), Happy Valley/Kingdom (an amusement park divided into 'lands' ala Disneyland), Splendid China (replications of famous sights from all around China) and a water park.
If you can avoid going to these places on a weekend, it would be the best, otherwise they will be flooded by locals and you'll have to wait ages to go on rides or try to peek over a huge crowd to see a show. But there are always exceptions - we went to the Chinese Folk Cultural Villages on a Monday in winter, and there weren't many people there - until 2,500 employees being given a treat by their company showed up and swamped the place!
Entry fees to this sort of place are around 100 yuan (children etc get discounts), sometimes more, sometimes less.
Seeking balance between work and life here...

"Shenzhen Airport"
Ranking 4th in China!
"My uncle and I"
I am the one on the right and my uncle is on the left. Well, you may guess why he is "OLD" enough to be my uncle? Well, I am not lying he is my uncle. If you ever visit my FuZhou page, you can know the whole story.
We have NOT seen each other for more than 16 years since 1992. Back then, we were both young and loved chasing little chick in our four-section compound. Now we both work in Shen-Zhen. Thus, we get to chance to meet up. I am glad that after 16 years of not meeting up personally, we can still be close to each other.

finding joy in happy kingdom

"where is happiness?"
the great sages say happiness is within. but somebody also said it's in happy kingdom. so off we went.
"Shangri-La Woods"

very grand. there are 7other themes - the sunshine beach, typhoon bay, playa maya beach, happy island, gold mine town and mt. adventure and cartoon city
"gold mine town"

"the 5-hour wait begins"
the sign said waiting time is about 3 hrs to the inverted roller coaster ride. we line up happily and thought, that's kind of a long wait but that's ok.
"3 hours have come and gone"
and we were still in line. should we quit now? of course not! never thought a ride in the theme park can teach you the values of patience, hope and determination.
and i cant believe some ppl would have the gall to cut in line. in the course of our waiting, three ppl attempted to squeeze in.
good thing there were security guards patrolling around, they were ejected instantly.
"the ride of my life"
we waited for five hours for this one minute ride. took off my sandals, lest they fly away and i walk home barefoot if i kept them on during this ride. i never could remember much of the ride, except i was screaming at first, felt my heart burst, saw the world upside down, got so scared that no more sound came out of my mouth and then it was over and i got very very dizzy and had a big headache.
"whoaaaa"
weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
