i have stayed at various hotels throughout china. in most china cities the shangri-la hotels set the standard. in shenzhen, the sunshine hotel sets the standard. rooms are better while the breakfast, included in the room rate, is fantastic. conveniently located for any traveller. i recommend this hotel to americans travelling on business or pleasure. you will have no trouble with speaking english.

This is a nice hotel in the center of town. It is walking distance from the subway.
However, being 5 blocks from the Lo Wu entry point from Hong Kong, many cabbies need pushed before they will drive you there from the Lo Wu (Luohu) station.
The hotel offers a bus "direct to Hong Kong". This was a pain since you had to unload - reload luggage and then queue up to get past customs. A better option is to go to the Lo Wu station and clear customs there to catch the KCR train southbound to Hong Kong.
