China ferry from Hongkong to Zhuhai china
by adnan1977
To go to ZhuHai from Hongkong is very simple and it takes 70 minutes to reach there from Hongkong by using China Ferry. There are two china ferry terminal in Hongkong namely in kowloon area and HongKong island. The single ticket price from Hongkong to Zhuhai is around HKD 183.00 and from Zhu Hai ( Zhu Hai Jiu Zhou port ) to Hongkong is around 165.0 yuan. There are two ways to return to HongKong. You can either
1. Take china ferry terminal from Zhu Hai Jiu Zhou port to Hongkong ( Hongkong Island)
2. Take china ferry terminal form Zhu Hai Jiu Zhou Port to Hongkong International Airport.

"The daughter of Zhuhai"
Well, I must admit i love this garden green city, it's full of passion and dynamism, an ideal place for holiday, we can enjoy the beauty and warmth there, enjoy the breeze and shines over the sea. i visited lover boulevard,Meixi archway, and Pu-tuo fane, unfortunately, i had a serious fever at same night.so remember to put warm clothes if u go to zhuhai in winter by sea.
see, this architecture is the daughter of Zhu-hai(hai here means sea), there was a very touching fairy story, though.

I'm visiting Zhu Hai for the day only. Can someone tell me the best way to get to Zhu Hai from Macau? By Taxi ?? How much does it cost & how long is the journey?
Is there also an express train or something? Buses??
Thank you :)

take taxi (they are inexpensive) to border crossing, go across on foot, take taxi on Zhuhai side (also very inexpensive). Much better than the buses, they are hot and full of pick pockets.

Taxi to Zhuhai custom (Gongbei) is <HK25, about 5 to 10 min only if you are in Macau main island ie casino area. It is like Singapore & JB but without the river ie just a walkway in between. Like 2 country, you need to fill travel form in and out when you return.
Taxi in Zhuhai is even cheaper, RMB10 for first 2 to 3 km I think. I was there the last fornight ago.
Please check earlier forum questions & replies if you want some recommendations like shopping & food.

don't forget you need a China visa to enter Zhuhai, not sure of one can get it at the border crossing similar to Shengzhen, you may want to double check.

Ed was correct, based on this 2004 posting from the Singapore Chinese Embassy "Ordinary passport holders traveling to China for the purposes of business, tourism, visiting relatives and friends, and transit for less than 15 days starting from the date of entry are exempted from visa"
