Best combination of ammenities

My friend and I stayed in three places while in Yangshuo and the Water Buffalo Guesthouse was probably our favorite. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. There is also air conditioning and 24 hour hot water. On the main floor is the bar and cafe where they serve both western and Chinese food (like most places in Yangshuo). The major bonus for us was that they had wireless internet. The only downside was that it only worked on the first two floors. I don't know if this was only a temporary problem or if it is always like this. It wasn't so bad though because we just brought our laptops downstairs and ate a snack while working and watching people walk by. There are many internet cafes, but this was the only place we found that was a hotel/restaurant and had wireless internet. Each room also comes with an information booklet with all kinds of things to do while in Yangshuo.

The owner, Alf, is really friendly and is great to talk to if you want ideas on where to hike or what to do. He can pretty much answer any questions you might have.

They only have four rooms, so if you want to stay there, it might be wise to book ahead, especially during the busy season.
