Hainan Paradise Rainforest Spa & Resort: Amazingly beautiful hot springs resort

Most overall beautiful hotel I've ever stayed at! I might just be gushing because it was ridiculously cheap to stay there, but this really was a beautiful hotel in a beautiful location. There are three pool areas for all guests to use and each spa area has a different view of the beautiful surrounding lush mountains. Some of the hot springs have different temperatures for those who can't take hot springs that are too "hot."

Horizon Spa & Resort Sanya: First Class Hotel Worst Class Service

Sanya or Hainan Island in general has all the natural ingredients to be a wonderful tourist destination. However, if Sanya wants to woo first class tourist, it should retrain all the people involve in the hospitality industry from taxi to hotel employees to offer what we tourists come for, SERVICE. We stayed at the Horizon Spa & Resort for 3 days. Room has a nice view to the bay, clean and pleasant. The pools and garden are well kept. But when it comes to service, it has none. That evening, we decided to try Horizon Hotel's dinner buffet by the beach that promise the delights of food and performance by lovely dancers by the seaside garden. The buffet time shows the event to be from 6:00pm till 9:30pm at RMB$200 per person. We arrived around 8:00pm, was seated and went ahead to get our food. There are a number of stations serving all kinds of food. A glance shows that most food trays were near empty. So I decided to ask for some noodle soup. The attendants serving noodles were all standing and talking to each other with a "we could care less" attitude. After inquiring about a bowl of noodle soup, he went ahead to prepare the noodle and some soup. The noodle soup has nothing, no meat, no toppings or anything. And to add insult to the injury, I overheard a chef talking in chinese to his co-worker. These stupid Americans will eat anything we gave them. The service sucks and the noodle soup is the worst I have ever had. We just walked out from the restaurant. While we were there, we just enjoyed the pool and beach. Other than that, we were very disappointed by the hotel's service level. Our general feeling about Sanya is, it has been oversold as the Hawaii of the East. Everyone thought that because they are the Hawaii of teh East, that gives them the right to charge expensive Hawaii pricing. They charge Hawaii pricing alright, but they give no service. Hotel is great but without service, nobdoy's gonna be back except fools. Wake up Hainan island. It's still a long way to go if service is not improved.

Pools, pools and pools... very unique and beautiful facility of pools..

Holiday Inn Saya Bay Resort: Best view

Room was spacious and clean.The breakfast buffet was sumptous.The beach is private and right in front of hotel.

Overseas Chinese (Huaqiao Dasha): Haikou: Seen Better Days

This is a hotel that definitely had seen better days. Built in 1978. Today, it just look tired and rundown. The rooms are musty, the hot-water pipes are not really working too well and there are strange stains on the walls in the bathroom. But for S$18 a night, with television and airconditioning, it is bearable. It's your call to find a better choice.

BLUE SKY (LAN TIAN) YHA HOSTEL: SANYA: NEW HOSTEL IN TOWN

Simple fare. Clean and tidy. Managed by a team of folks from Xi'an China, some speaking better English than others. Would help if you speak Mandarin. Provides the rudimentary in hostel services. Most rooms come with a generous balcony though the view is that of the condominium opposite the hostel. Just remember to check out the rooms first as mine, which comes with ensuite bathroom, kinda reek of sulphur gases, leaking from the bathing drain.

Nothing really unique since it's a hostel. But location-wise, it's great!

Hainan Prima Resort: THE BEST PLACE FOR RELAX IN HAINAN

Here you can select various kinds of accommodation, such as log cabin, suit, room,etc.
The log cabin are perfect to immerse yourself in the area natural beauty.

Palm trees, sea beach, blue sky, fresh air, silence sircumstance, water sports, coconut and seafood.
