This hotel is located at the busiest end of Yalong Bay. It is likely to be one of the cheaper resorts in Yalong Bay but not the nicest. If your looking to be truly relaxed I would suggest staying on the west end of the bay at one of the 5 stars which will be a much nicer choice. The beach there is much wider, sandier, and quieter.
The food is also terrible here. The breakfast buffet is not bad but just so overpriced, especially since I am accustomed to standard Chinese prices. It is RMB 128 for the breakfast. Eat out in Da Dong Hai area if possible during your stay.
Unique Quality: Beach bar has outstanding pina coladas! Especially if Sam still works there when you read this.
Busy, overcrowded, overdeveloped beach area.

Choose the hotel that has beach behind the hotel. You'll enjoy the bar on the beach, join BBQ around the swimming pool and you can just step to the beach if you feel bored in the hotel room at night and find many people playing there as well.

Holiday inn resort offers you the most beautiful white and pristine sandy beach with clear blue waters. Popular water sports facility nearby, you can do anything you want on this beach.

We are China youth travel Service Nanhai Star Holiday(Haikou).Ther is a little shops/restaurants to buy food/drink nearby Yalong Bay.Most time you need to rely on the hotel. It was a nice experience to stay in Holiday Inn - Sanya Bay for my firstsight of Sanya. Friendly staffs, the serivce & embiance were good. Decorations were a bit like Bali. I like the breakfast there (I am not picky, bake beans and fry sausages would be good enough for me :) ) The wash room in the apartment was very nice, keep the windows openning and enjoy the seaview while taking bath.
