Bring any clothes or shoes you might need. There are no foreign brands available here, except for fake stuff mainly suited to middle-aged or elderly, short people. We haven't specifically looked for anything, but judging by the poor availability of foreign and many mainstream Chinese brands in hotels and around the tourist areas, bring everything you might need. Film choice seems very limited here. B&W forget it. I haven't seen any slide film. Kodak Gold 100 available everywhere if you call that film. Fuji seen also. Several out-of-date films seen! Bring everything you might need. There is probably a camping shop in Sanya city, but don't depend on it. If you need the following, we haven't seen it (or have seen it only rarely):
- Nescafe (even the Nescafe 2+1 sachets so ubiquitous elsewhere in China), Coffeemate
- foreign brand cigarettes and chocolates
