Fucheng Hotel: In city centre
This hotel is very well located, opposite a little stream in the city centre, only 5 minutes walk from the main entrance to the Mountain Resort Palace. The staff were very nice and friendly as I was a bit of a novelty to them but English isn't really spoken here. My passport proved very interesting to them, again because I was a foreigner and they probably don't get very many, if any at all. Anyway, I got shown a nice room with 2 single beds, TV etc and was OK if a little shabby in places such as marks on the walls but it was OK priced at RMB200.

Chengde Da Xia Jiu Dian: A place to stay for the night
My sis and her family got a suit..made up of two bed rooms and one living room! We don't normally get such treatment as what most hotel normally did for a family of 3 was to add an extra bed.
