Tangshan Jinjiang Grand Hotel

The Tangshan Jinjiang Grand Hotel wouldn't have earned any praise from me at all if it were in America, but considering it's setting, it's not too bad. Service is relatively good, though rooms aren't very clean and are also rather small. But the most unpleasant characteristic of this hotel (I could stand everything else) was the fact that it consistently smelled like cigarette smoke and even 'non-smoking' rooms have that disgusting sort of smell. Otherwise, it was okay, and the eastern cuisine restaurant on it's second floor features good dishes. Lodging at the hotel comes with breakfast, which is a 'mixture' of western and eastern foods. Standard breakfast fare includes eggs, fruit, Coca-cola, and various Chinese dishes. The staff at the hotel are helpful, too. But be sure to know Mandarin, since just about no one here can speak a word of English.
