people are very friendly there, usually some young people and most of the teenagers can speak a little english, so if you don't speak chinese, don't worry, there will be someone who will be able to help you. if you were ever invited in to anyone's house, please don't by any lily for present, and if you heard any niose when eatting, don't mind, because that represents the food is great.

Motorcycle Transport

At various street corners around the city, at some bus stops and driving around you will see many motorcycles. Often these are available for hire, with driver. I don't know the pricing, and by the way these guys seem to drive, it might not be worth it, but if you need a quick way around, and don't mind taking risks, this might be for you.
It may not be the safest way of getting around, and there is no room for luggage or much room for a backpack, but it may be a good way to go, and give you even more of a local experience.

Ice Carving Festival at Zhaolin Gardens

There are 2 main areas where Ice carving festivals are held. They are at Zhaolin Park, and the other one is much bigger and located just across the river. Unfortunately, I do not know the name in English.

Heilongjiang Minorities Museum

Heilongjiang has some extremely interesting ethnic minorities. I have already put up some information about a few of these groups on review pages under my Heilongjiang Province page.
There is a good museum on these minorities in the Confucius Temple in the southern part of the town. Sadly, it is one of the many places we failed to get to while we were in Harbin. We arrived at 3pm to find that's when the place closes!

9th Harbin Ice and Snow World 5

I put this at the end because I forgot to put in up front. There are two ways of getting to the Harbin Ice and Snow World. You can go in the main entrance, or go around (under the bridge) and up through the side... both lead to the main gate.

"The poop"

I wanted to put this here as well, just so it doesn't go unnoticed... this is the real poop. I talked about it on the tip, and here it is, photographic proof.
