Somewhat Dodgy Hotel in a Great Location
The rooms themselves are a little older, and is overpriced for the relative standard, and the breakfast buffet is all Chinese-style, with limited Euro-Continental/English style offerings (trust me, unless you were raised here or a long-term adjusted resident or something, you *really* want a variation after eating days of only Chinese cuisine!)
Unique Quality: The mini-bar was quite scandalous, as you can see in the photo, all three of the mini-whiskeys were previously opened and a little bit siphoned off each one.
This is a first for me: the hotel guide lists the prices of all the furnishings in the room, indicating your responsible cost in case of damage or loss. (Hey, I dug the 1970's technicolor North Korean Style Waterfall wall hanging - I could have made an honest deal just taking the painting with me, knowing its retail price and just informing the clerk at check-out time.)
I think the main redeeming quality is that it's in a great location at the central street (zhong yan da jye), and it's also walking distance to Songhua River.
