Misleading Name Hotel
Nice Red Building about 5 blocks away from Shangri-La Harbin at Youyi Road.
The day we check-in, the hotel was overbooked and they upgraded (complimentary) to a bigger room.
Room is clean with humifier. Rooms are either with river view or city view. The deluxe room that I had is huge with a bedroom and living room. Room is equipped with long bath, seating WC and standard toiletries. An electronic safe is available in each room.
The air-conditioning/heater is quite difficult to control. We left it OFF and were pleasantly surprised the temperature is just right.
Right after checking-into the room, 2 young ladies from travel agency came knocking with information on how many of us and where we are from and enquired whether we would like to book a local travel package. So much for privacy.
Within the hotel lobby, there is a mini-mart and an ATM that accept Visa, Mastercard and many other international credit card for cash withdrawal. A Bank of China branch is 2 blocks away with 24-hours ATM service.
Bell boy does not accept tipping.
The staff is available to advise where to go for shopping, food and transportation.

All TV programme are delivered via internet (IP TV) and you can select whichever programme you wish to watch. Rewind or reply of the programme is possible. Never need to miss a favourite programme should you decide to go out when the programme is at it's climax.
