The sky is so blue - please remember that it was freezing when I was here.. (one of the advantages of winter - it might be cold, but there's not a cloud in the sky)
This is one of the practice areas for thekung Fu monks. All I saw were tourists... but it's a good place for a Bruce Lee type photo opportunity
This is one of the two "guardians" of the entrance to Shaolin Temple (the other one is red). You can't see in the photo but these guys are BIG.
Actually I don't know if they are really guardians or what, but you have to go past them to get in to the temple complex
I love these engraved stones that you get in all teh temples. Some of them were defaced during the cultural revolution, but most of the ones in Shaolin are in good repair.

A branch of the General. I couldn;t get the whole tree in the photo (at more than 4000 years old, it's now a pretty big tree), so this is one of the branches.
