HaiTian Holiday Inn: Not the real Holiday Inn chain
Travelling during the Oct holiday period, getting a hotel is quite a task.
The hotel is just average (China's standard).
Carpet looks and feel soggy/dirty
Water pressure is good for a nice shower (better than other hotels i've stayed while in Henan)
Chinese restaurant served very basic breakfast (congee, chinese buns, eggs, fried noodle.

Yiwan Hotel: Central, friendly hotel
Good honest 3-star hotel...and I don't know of any other hotels within 100km so it's a good thing it's OK, huh?
Bright clean rooms, hot/cold water dispenser for drinks. TV. Good showers. Rooms were warm and well furnished.
No bar, but a huge karaoke nightclub with friendly staff.
Sauna/bath-house alongside with bowling alley. There is a very friendly bar across the street (go to the left outside the hotel and cross over the street) in a former cinema: young lively crowd.
