Dancing even at night
DANCING:
If you are not shy, there is dancing almost every night in the central park. Music range from rock, to traditional, to techno ! People from all ages dance there when the temperature is nice.

hi
anyone have info on buses from luoyang to beijing ? Where do they depart from,, what is the frequency and how long is the journey and the cost ?
Is it possible to visit the longmen grottoes in the morning and take a late pm bus to beijing on the same day ?
Thanks
Sure it's doable. Another place in Luoyang is White Horse Temple. It said to be the first Buddism temple in China.
However, I don't recommend you take bus, it's better to take train. There is K270 starting from Luoyang to Beijing. It departs from Luoyang at 20:20pm and arrive in Beijing at 5:57am next morning.
Are you doing Beijing -- Luoyang -- Xi'an or Xi'an -- Luoyang -- Beijing? Your two posts seem to contradict each other.
AFAIK there're sleeper bus departures for Luoyang -- Beijing at 1800 and 2000, fare 172 RMB.
Yes, possible to do what you suggest.
I would also agree that train would be preferable to bus.

We have visited Luoyang twice, and it has left a wonderful impression on us.
Luoyang is famous for two things:
- the Long Men Buddhist Grottoes, and
- the Peony Festival.
Both are worth the trip, but the city itself has a lot of charm, too. It has a nice sort-of-old area, with interesting markets and friendly people.
