Hotels at around railway station
I saw roughly 50 big and small hotels at around the old main railway station (only 2 ailway stations, the other one is south station of the new hi-speed bullet train). The one that I stayed is low budget 88 Yuan only, with internet, air-con and bathroom attached. In fact I went around doing a quick survey, hotels around here are of similar prices except the bigger ones, they cost 189 Yuan for a single room.
Eating is so easy over here especially at night...

Changsha Venice Hotel: 5-star hotel
I didn't actually stay here, I came for dinner. The hotel is gorgeous though.
Unique Quality: The hotel is in a pretty location, overlooking a river. I have a view of the outside, the main hallway and the pool included.

Hunan Liufang Hotel: Fluffy pillows
From what I can remember, this place was rather large. Not so much grand, just large! The rooms were very nice and the pillows to die for! In the restaurant downstairs you could either have a buffet breakfast or order from the menu, and dinner could have been the same deal too...I forget now. I was there on a sports trip with many other reporters from around China so all rooms and food were free!!! The peaks of my job!
Unique Quality: Changsha isnt the best of places to visit..well, I guess thats not too fair as it was raining when I wnrt, but it did seem rather drab. The hotel didnt have any special qualities, ah wait, having said that...I do believe it has an outside pool...but of course, I never got to visit that!

Hollye Hotel
This is a relatively clean hotel but with poor amenities and service. Be warned not to take anything within your room as they will check everything, including shampoo bottles if it is missing or not. If any items are found missing a penalty will be fixed. Furthermore, there is only one person to check the entire hotel! Thus causing our tour delayed for 1.5 hours!
