A Foreign Teacher in Changsha
"A Texas Boy in the Big City!"
Living and teaching here in beautiful Hunan Province's Capital City, Changsha. I have been here for a year and a half, and great changes are occuring here every day. The city, though still very polluted, is becoming more beautiful and more liveable every day.
Spring is a particularly nice time here, and all the azaleas are in bloom. You should make an effort to go to Martyr's Park, the city's main park, and watch all the people. Nearby the south gate is a wonderful western coffee shop called UBC... great iced cappucino
The best places to stay are the Dalton, the Grand Sun, the Huatian right now.
The best value for eating is People's Bar-b-que on Furong Road... real Chinese bbq, all you can eat, and at a 58 yuan price.
