We stayed here for 2 nights in August 2009. The accomodations were very comfortable, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. It was a very clean and well-appointed room, and very quiet (you couldn't hear anyone in the next rooms or the hallways). We stayed at the Horizon Club level (costs a little more) so that we could have the club lounge benefits (hot breakfast, snacks and drinks during the day or evening, use of the health club including pool, appetizers and drinks during happy hour, check-in and check-out at the club lounge.) The Horizon club staff are professional and speak excellent english. They really try to accomodate any requests you might have (they made some phone calls for us to help us find a private car and driver.) The cappucino in the club lounge is good.
We liked the location here. When we asked about restaurants, the hotel staff recommended a very good place which was a short taxi ride away, specializing in barley noodles. Another night, they suggested a nearby street "food street" with many good places. We walked along and found a delightful Korean place to eat.
My only caveat is that if you use the pool, be warned that the pool staff will tell you that you must purchase a swim cap. And since they didn't speak english, they didn't tell me until after I'd already been swimming for 15 minutes without one (my spouse, who speaks Chinese fluently, arrived then and translated.) The health club staff in general seem a bit disorganized and unsure about what they're doing.
Also, we recommend that you get your own city taxi, and not let the taxi guy at the hotel arrange it for you. They seem eager to quote you a price much higher than the actual cost, wanting to get you a taxi themselves. We saw them doing this twice, but paid much less using the regular taxis which are easy to get.
