The Friendship Hotel: Another very good one!

Stayed here for two nights and it was wonderful! Very comfy pillows..a big thing for me as most pillows in China are as hard as rocks...comfy beds, good cleaners, everything very new looking and CCTV-9 on televsion!

Bang in the centre of the city so very convenient for everything. A very popular hotel too..we were lucky to find rooms there. The price was reasonable too for a 3 star hotel at 195 yuan per room, around 16 pounds!

Hulunbeier: The best hotel in the city!

This hotel has a newly renovated wing which is lovely. It is only a 3 star hotel but really feels like it's a four star. The rooms are wonderful, clean, a bit smelly(only of paint though!)m and the dining room/restaurant is huge and of course with individual rooms as in all hotels in China, for those who want to gather in a group and not be disturbed by the riff raff! There is a breakfast buffet in the morning and all the staff are very attentive. The only down side is that for a 3 star hotel it's rather expensive at 380 yuan a room. That's only about 32 pounds for a twin room, but the usual amount is around 200yuan, so we only stayed here for one night.
