Hot Spring ~ Tang Shan Wen Quan
by Trique
Can consider visiting this hot spring if you want to try something different. Add: Jiang Ning Qu, Tang Shan Zhen Wen Quan Lu 8 Hao
Cost RMB 128 per person. Swimming costume is a must. Place is like a swimming complex with 40 to 50 pools with varying temperatures and themes. I like the ginseng and lingzhi pools. The pool with fishes is rather disappointing with lots of people and not many fishes. FYI, the fishes are supposed to nibble on your dead skin, giving you an exfoliation. Interesting isnt it? Too bad it didnt work out.
We took the Nan Tang (direct translation, South Soup) route from the bus stop at Nanjing train station. The bus was very infrequent and we waited 45 mins for the bus and another 1 hour on the road. Upon alighting at the Tang Shan Wen Quan, it was a 15-20 mins walk to the resort itself. Unfortunately, we were fixated on this approach and did not consider other options intially. Later we found that a one way cab ride cost RMB 80. Definitely a preferred approach in my opinion.
No pictures from this place as I was too exhausted by the time i reached there and too sleepy after dipping into the hot spring pools.
Sun Yat-sen Museum
by socrates_07
The Sun Yat-sen Museum is located in the Dr. Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum Scenic Spot and was originally a Buddhist Library. It's a Chinese traditional classical architecture and completed in 1936. Most of the buildings were destroyed during the war and since 1982 it has been renovated as the Sun Yat-sen Museum.
Situated in the pine forest and encircled by the streams, the Museum is composed with the main building, monk's room and the table corridor. You will find its a place very quiet place. At least when I was there. (ok, I went there short time before they closed it so I was the only one on the way to the Museum and inside it as well).
Works and documents written by and about Dr. Sun Yat-sen and many photographs about the burial ceremony and other valuable historical materials are collected and exhibited in the museum.
The bonze statue of Dr. Sun Yat-sen is situated in front of the museum. It's a gift presented by Dr.Sun Yat-sen's Japanese friend Umeya Shokinchi in 1929.
Nanjing Bridge & Yangtze River
by imstress
This is the ever famous Nanjing Bridge & Yangtze River.
It was a misty and cloudy evening. Even on top of the viewing platform of Nanjing Bridge, we were not able to have a very good view of the magnificant Yangtze River.
These are the pride of Nanjing.
