Incredible seafood!

Generally food in Nanjing is as good as those of Shanghai.
These shellfish (which I don't know what they are called) are tastefully done in this restaurant where you don't even have to know a single Chinese word to order the food. There are displays of the actual items for you to choose to your heart's content :-)
Boat Ride at Fu Zi Miao Night Market

Take a boat ride at the Fu Zi Miao Night Market.
The boat ride will take you along the river and you can see many buildings all with colourful lights.
Many painters and photographers set up their stall along this river and bridge, so bring back an artistic piece home.
Nanjing in Spring

"One of China's 6 ancient cities"
The first thing that comes to my mind about Nanjing was that it is the place where the Nanjing Massacre took place during WW2. Not exactly a happy place to visit.
But through conversations with my Shanghainese colleagues, it seems that Nanjing has more to offer than its tragic history. It was the capital of 10 Chinese dynasties, the famous Sun Yat-Sen was buried there and it is also an up and coming tier 2 city in the Yangtze delta region.
So in spring 2007, we made our way there from Shanghai. We spent our weekend visiting some attractions, going to a hot spring and exploring local food places. I must say, the trip was rather delightful!
