I entered the Nanjing Museum not expecting much and received a pleasant surprise. This is for the fact that the Nanjing Museum turned out to be quite good. The museum is small considering it is suppose to be a provincial museum in a city of over 5 million but the exhibits here are still very well presented. In a similar manner as the Shanghai museum, the exhibits are order in various hall dedicated to a particular art form popular in China during its long history. The Lacquer-ware Hall is particularly notable but I think that I enjoyed the porcelain works the most. As with any Chinese museum, the Jade-ware should also be seen to be believed. I visited this museum late in the day and I found that I wish that I had given it more time for I stayed until closing.
The Nanjing Museum is open daily from 9am to 4:30pm and a visit costs Y20.

"the Splay Walls"

The Splay Walls is a popular name for the screen walls flanking the Rectangula Citadel.At 7 meters high and 21 meters long,they are covered with glazed roof and stand on two layers of brick Sumeru pedestals.Their four corners are decorated with brick-carved flower patterns,which are masterpiece of early Ming Dynasty art.Through more than 600 years,the patterns are still distinct and intact,and thus of great value.

"Being There But Not For Long"

if u r a niter, do not intend to stay there for long. nanjing is my 3rd hometown where i stepped into my really social life journey. i lived and worked in an area on the back side of zhongshan tomb.

i felt tireless going zhongshan tomb for tens of times. anyone new has to go there then u would feel not regretted!!

if i got nothing to ask u, for what i am hesitating about and afraid of u. this is my 1st lesson that i learnt from the reality.

after 2000, i went to nanjing several times for biz. nanjing is still hot, people are still crowed on street, and friends are still being there and real!
