Somehow we stumbled into this restaurant near the Wende Bridge. It was filled with lots of Chinese so we went in. It seemed to be a bit more upmarket than our usual forays but we stayed.
We had asparagus and duck, fried spinach and hot spicy tofu with a coconut milk and large Tsingtao Beer. Delicious!!

This bridge was one of chinese biggest achievement in the 60's when the south and north of china was link with this double decker bridge. If you wanna visit this bridge, I would suggest you to take a bus from Gulou. Can remember what bus as there was no number only chinese character. This bus actually passes the bridge into the other side of Nanjing. So you can stop right on top the bridge. There is a staircase going to the museum at the bottom.
Don't come in the night since its poorly litted, can't see much of it.
Nanjing has some great memorials for very different pieces of Chinese history. It was important for me to visit the Nanjing Massacre Memorial Museum, which was built to pay homage to all of those who died in Nanjing during WWII in the Nanjing Massacre, as well as to educate people today about what occurred here.
In the same city, stands the mausoleum of Sun Yat-Sen, a highly revered figure in modern China and Taiwan. Traveling from one to the other really creates a quick change in mood and atmosphere. One horrific, one heroic; both fascinating.
