Any good gyms in Nanjing, particularly in the area of the Economics University?
Doesn't the university have a gym? Usually all universities do have at least one gym, quality depends.
Not knowing where Economics U is, is it close to Nanjing U? Also, many Chinese urban districts in big cities each has at least a gym (quality vary greatly).

For a different kind of experience, try the bicycle. In fact, a greater feat would be using your cellphone while on a bike! The Chinese did it like a pro! A very contrasting image; China can be very advance in certain mode of communication while very laid back in their mode of transportation!
Fuzimaio (Confucius Temple) and Qinhai River
Confucius Temple and the buildings nearby were the rebuilt ones simulating the scenery of 1,000 years ago. It is a very properous area now. You can find many stores and restaurents here. There is also one night market here. I like one shop for the traditional Chinese paints the most. It is located at the left hand side of the Confucius Temple.
The river in front of the Confucius temple is Qinhuai river. The buildings of the traditional styles surround along the river. That is the appealing but traditional view for the city in south China.
This 1 mile (1.6km) long lake is located outside the city walls to the northeast of the city centre. It was once an important water source for the city and was used for naval exercises during the Song dynasty. The lake park was opened to the public shortly after the fall of the Qing dynasty in 1911. The 368 hectare lake features five small islands that are all linked to each other by bridges and causeways. It also features teahouses, restaurants, pavilions, boats for hire and even a small zoo.
