Great Location in Nanjing
Was staying in this hotel recently from Feb 23-26, 2012.
A decent hotel, clean and comfy in a great location, no frills. Only negative comment is they only had 1 hairdyer for the entire hotel!!
Very conveniently located near the metro 'Zhangfuyuan' which is close to all the main tourist attractions. Confucious Temple is nearby, walking distance around 15mins and also a shopping mall is near with a great food court downstairs.
There are only 2 metro lines in Nanking and everything is in close proximity, walk, cab or metro is fine.
Unique Quality: Location location.

This is the monument that most people who visit Nanjing flock to see.
Like many other tourist sights there is a long walk to the actual monument. In this case it is a long boulevard and then a flight of steps. Once you get to the top there is Sun Yat Sen’s statue.
The actual layout of the mausoleum is 1½ km in area and is regarded with admiration by the Chinese people. There was a competition to select who would design the site and the plan that won was in the shape of a bell. Behind the statue is an area which charts the progress of the mausoleum from the announcement of the competition to the completion of the building.
Tickets for entry to Dr Sun Yat Sen’s mausoleum and Linggu Temple Scenic spot 80 Yuan.

Life is often unpredictable... regardless of how well prepared we are. A friend today may be a foe tomorrow & vice versa. This thought came to mind while visiting Nanjing. Japan & China ... so much have transpired, ... so much have been lost, ... so much have been learned!
History repeats itself? Hopefully NOT! At least, where this city is concerned. As for me, I've learned a great deal the last couple of months; some good, some bad ... but it's not the content that matters, rather, the journey itself. So, let us discover the modern day NANJING!
