Xuanwu lake lies in the northeast of Nanjing.It is near the railway station & out of the city wall. Xuanwu Lake used to be the drilling camp of the imperial navy. At the end of the Qing dynasty, it was turned into a park, which occupied an area of 434 hectares with 368 hectares in water.
Admission Fees of RMB10 is required
The last place which I visited was the Open Air Music Hall. It is located in the Dr. Sun Yat-sen Scenic Spot, very close to the main parking place. That music hall is surrounded by pines which give it a wonderful atmosphere.
When I was at that place here a performance of school children.
Formerly the capital of China, many people, particularly overseas Chinese still believe it to be the capital. Nanjing meaning 'Southern Capital' stands as a direct foil to the 'Northern Capital, Beijing. It is a prosperous city, benefiting from being so close to Shanghai and the Yangtze River.
There are so many shopping malls in Xinjiekou, but they all sell the same things so its not as exciting as it may sound!
