The city wall of Nanjing was built over 600 years ago in 1386 by over 200,000 people and took over 20 years to complete. It was designed by Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang after he founded the Ming Dynasty. If you take a close look at the bricks, you will see that most of them are stamped with the names of the people who constructed the wall.

My first visit to this city was taken place 14 years ago.
My second visit there was in 1995. I went there with 3 university classmates and found out that the city wasnt change must since my first trip.
However, my recent visit to Nanjing gave me a big shock -- everything just changed so thoroughly! I even couldn't recognize Xin Jie Kou - the city symbolical area. Grand building are srrounding this area and the Jin Ling Hotel, which historically the best hotel in Nanjing, right now looks short and ordinary...
I should really take a tour arround the city, especially those places which I had visited during previous trips. I'm not sure what they are looking like now.
