Zhongshan Gate
by Willettsworld
Zhongshan Gate, built in 1386, is located on Zhongshan East Road and is named after Sun Yat-sen, the father of modern China. Originally it was called Chaoyangmen, which translates roughly as the gate of the Morning Sun. The gate is located in the east of the city and was the main east entrance. It gave direct access to the palace city where the emperor lived and where the imperial government offices were located. Interestingly, when the Yongle Emperor moved the capital to Beijing in 1420, he kept many of the same gate names for the Beijing city walls and Chaoyangmen is one of these.

"Walk down the Confucious Temple"
It is not a temple. It is a place where you can find Dacheng Palace, Wende Bridge, East & West market etc. There is a small river below the Wende Bridge. Nice ancient building with business activities inside of them. You can enjoy chinese dishes, souvenir stalls and walls of sculpture of dragons.
"Relax at Xuanwu Lake Park"
A lake in the middle of the province. A walk to see nice scenery and amusement.
