Hotel in a traditional garden
Located right in the heart of the eastern corner of the old town is the 4-star Suzhou Garden View Hotel. The hotel is built in the exact layout of a traditional private Chinese garden. As you walk through the hotel lobby to the guest room, you will pass a carp pond and landscaped garden.
Unique Quality: The rooms in this hotel are in traditional Chinese style with rosewood furniture. Breakfast is in a pavillion with glass windows overlooking the carp pond. The business center at the hotel is super-efficient. I asked them to reserve train tickets for me to Shanghai in the morning for the afternoon and it was done immediately.
