Hi,
Anybody can tell me if in Suzhou there are shops similar to the shops at the 'silk market' in Beijing, selling good quality clothing but fake?

Not really. There're some shops but nothing as concentrated as the Silk Market in Beijing. Try the area around Guanqian Jie, behind the temple.
Not exactly, few shops are there but I don’t remember it exactly. If get to know then pls inform me too.
I'm interested in how clothing can be good quality but fake...
I would rather go for reasonable quality, but without the price being marked up on account of some brand name.
Of course you can get good quality fake brands. We bought some t-shirts at the Ben Thanh Markets in HCMC and they are the best quality t-shirts Ive ever owned! I wish I would have bought more!
There are many shops and markets who sell gray market or counterfeit name brand items, e.g. Nike, Coach, Columbia, Cardin, etc.
There are several possible situations:
1) The goods are genuine of the brand. If so you generally pay a similar price to what the item costs in New York, London, or Paris.
2) The goods are genuine but gray market. Much designer clothing is manufactured in China; sometimes it finds its way out the back door of the factory and is sold at discounts.
3) The goods are counterfeit but equal quality-- e.g. similar stitching, fabric, etc. Maybe made in the same factory.
4) The goods are counterfeit but lesser quality. Fabric may be deficient; logos noticeably messier, sometimes even mis-spelled - I have seen clothing labeled "Adibas", for example.
You decide what your moral/ ethical view on intellectual property law is, and buy accordingly.

As you enter Han Shan Si, you would notice a yellow wall with 3 Chinese Character carved on it. There is a story of why the 3 characters are carved by diffent person.
This is the inside view of that yellow wall.
There are many potted plants and a signboard posting the history of Han Shan Si.
Ou Yuan is the classical garden of SuZhou.
Ou Yuan is one of the UNESCO site. It is beautiful inside with all the landscaping and houses.
This is the 1st UNESCO Site which I have visited and I hope to cover as many sites as possible.
