The location is in the new part of town called the Singapore development area, so if you want to be in the old section of town, try another hotel. There are many excellent restaurants close to the hotel.
I stay at the Renaissance because it is the closest good hotel to the factory that I visit regularly, but I enjoy it immensely and would recommend it to anyone.
Great views of the area from the upper floors. Stay in one of the club rooms and have breakfast in the club lounge with panoramic views from the 19th floor.
Great gym.
Wonderful dim sum lunch on Sunday in the restaurant.
