the blocks near Dalian University of Foreign Languages have been japanese community 60 years ago. now, many nice small houses remain on the quiet street and new japanese come back again. many japanese bars, resturants, foot massage gathered here.
Broad streets, mostly tree lined give an aura of space. Modern buildings a legacy of Russian influence post war. Is a clean city and the citizens seem happy and prosperous. Visit a kindergarten to find out what real warmth is. The parks are open and imaculate. The "Friendship store" is worth a visit, plenty of mementos on offer at bargain prices!
