The cleanest beach in Dalian. It may be a bit out of the way but it is worth the hour long tram ride. Clean water, clean sand, and pretty inexpensive. Bring your swimming suit and a towel. If you burn easily, don't be dumb, bring some sun screen. A good idea is to go as a group and pack a lunch. There are restaurants there but it is definately cheaper to bring a picnic.

Natural and artifical scene combine perfectly. Here is Hai zhiyun Square (also called Dong hai Park). One side is sea, the other side is mountain and with many attractive statuaries. Walking alone the bank, you can reach Binhai Road, Laohutan Scenic Park , Fu Jia Zhuang and Xing Hai Squre.
