hi everyone
i may be moving to dalian soon and would really love some information about it. i have lived in Zhengzhou for 2 years so my chinese is ok and i am used to the general chinese manners etc. just some information on the city like how many other westerns are there. things to do. also if anyone has info on a good taiji school there it would be very helpful

There are quite a few westerners here, but I've found many of them to be sorta secluded. Weird... But there are some places to meet them and there's some good nightlife.
As for 'things to do' - that's pretty much up to you. I'm sure you could find a Taiji place, but I don't know where. Basically I just know a bit about the bar scene :) - if you have any questions about that feel free to ask.

Unfortunately I have no idea of the name of this park. I just can tell you its not far away from the Golden Beach Golf Club. So, if anyone knows the name of this park, please let me know it.
The park itself is nice but no must to visit. Some of the sculptures in that park you can find in Italy or Greece as well....

- new bakery has great bread but too pricey, I think
"Bei Da Qiao" - Grand North Bridge.
This place is at the coast and there are several beaches along this stretch of the coast for swimming, having a picnic, or sun-tanning during the summer. The coast is quite picturesque.
