Hi,
I wish to rent an apartment in Dalian downtown or Zhongshan district from 2003 / 08/ 13 to 2004 / 08 / 01. I’m a teacher at the Dalian Institute of Foreign languages. I look for a surface 40 – 80 m2 with two bedrooms, a kitchen and a bathroom.

Hai Chang Hua chen is an upmarket place. It might be a bit on the expensive side, but very nice place and secured. It is just at the Sino-British College. oops.. not in Zhongshan district, but just below the TV tower. I have got some pictures on the apartment that I have stayed on my page.
From what I know, in Dalian, you will have to pay the rent 6 mths in advance.
I plan to go Dalian too.

Lao hu means Tiger, tan means beach and the Lao hu tan Scenic Park lies on the Tiger Beach. That sculpture is composed of a group of tigers' images, located in the Tiger Beach Park. The white sculpture flashes different colors with the change of the sunshine.

Salad bar, buffet bar of veggies, rice, etc and then the waiters come around with long skewers of beef (all kinds of different cuts), chicken and you choose what you want to try
Spanish and English spoken, menu not needed all wonderful
Dalian is a seaport in northeast China, due the location there is LOT of seafood. I´m not fan of alga nor other green stuff from sea, I couldn´t wait to get my hands on something greasy i.e. tasty.
This was my first business trip ever and we were first five days in US and then five days in China. Dalian was great city; small in Chinese perspective but huge for us Finnish (population same as in whole Finland).
