Shenyang Station building was built in 1910 by the Southern Manchurian Railway Company was formerly called Mukden Station, though I believe there was relatively recent restoration work. You can compare and see how the architecture is modelled upon Tokyo Station.

There is a parallel of similarity at Dalian Station in which it is modelled upon Ueno Station (the 2nd major train terminal in Tokyo).

"a winter palace"

shenyang is located in northeast china. in winter, you have to suffer the coldness but you can also enjoy the beautiful ice scenery.

in the coldness, the city is a little quiet. when i stand on a narrow road with all the bold trees, i feel beautifully lonely. but, you have to stay a long time inside with a efficient heater till the spring's coming.

anyway, shenyang is a good place for tourism with ski resorts and imperial palace.

"hot pot in the sun"

in summer, the city is getting more noisy for thousands of new cars driving on the street and buildings growing on the ground. i start to hate the development, and hate the newest things. i hope the fall come soon.

the summer time is a good time for city business. most exhibitions, shows, promotions and sports boom and people have all-night-long party to the early morning.

not very hot and cold, shenyang has a cool summer. you will enjoy it very much.

"an old city with old building"

shenyang is a one of the largest city in china but is a little old. although there will be a international sports event, the new face just on the entrance of the city. my home is in the industrial zone where many many old building with soviet union style. that's a charming place when the wind blow dowm many leaves in fall.

in fall, the weather is still cool. we'd like to go to east to see red leaves in the moutains. when you are back to downtown, you will see yellow leaves on the street. some streets with aged building give you a feeling of miserable, sadful and peaceful.
