Nice First Class Hotel
The Aurum is centrally located within the city walls and an easy walk to the Bell and Drum Tower. The hotel has a good chinese restaurant and a restaurant where you can have breakfast and lunch.
Staff are friendly and helpful. But some dont speak much english. Some single rooms are small.
But if all your doing here is sleeping, its no big deal.
Unique Quality: The best part is its chinese restaurant. It serves very goot regional cuisine on a comprehensive menu.

Xian Hotel - Shanxi Aurum International Hotel
Only stayed one night but the Staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was very comfortable with added bonus of TV, safe and excellent restaurant.
Very enjouyable stay - recommend highly

Excellent Luxury Hotel
This was an excellent, recently built hotel. A bit impersonal but efficient, clean, luxurious, nice breakfast, helpful reception staff, good location (five minutes by car from Bell Tower)
Unique Quality: Satellite TV. They even had CNN at channel number 51.

Aurum International Hotel
Aurum International Hotel is a relative new (local) 4 star hotel operated by Singapore Management Group. It is centrally located in downtown Xi'an, adjacent to New City Square and Shaanxi Provincial People's Government.
It's also walking distance from one popular night market (after walking pass a fish market) that sells almost anything money can buy.
Facilities: swimming pool, sauna, gym, massage room and beauty salon.
My personal favorite: free broadband usage
