    This hotel was really a great surprise. Located right in front of the Bell Tower (as its name suggests), it is right in the middle of everything you might want to see in Xi'an downtown.

    Rooms are comfortable, just enough for a short trip. In the hotel you have two restaurant options: chinese and western. No complains at all about the western breakfest.

    In the second floor of the hotel building there are two travel agencies (CITS and another one - ask at the front desk) where you can book sightseeing tours and the famous east-line - a visit to the terracota army, to the Qing emperor tumb and to the Bampo Neolithic Village.

    • Excellent 4-star hotel right at the crossroads at the centre of old Xian, opposite the Bell Tower, just 100 metres from the Drum Tower and the entrance to the Muslim Quarter.

    The bar is a bit insipid - but better than most hotel bars here - but the coffee shop restaurant on the second floor is bright, and the Sunday lunch buffet is excellent value at 68RMB per head (including free local beer).

    Got the deluxe room online for around 590RMB, which is a lot better than the walk in price of 980RMB. Large room with a sitting area, nice TV, a view of the Bell Tower which is the center of the city. Bathroom is smallish and clean, except our shower curtain smells like mildew. 24 hour spa including foot massage for 98RMB (wash and massage). Also offers full colon hydrotherapy which is a first I've seen advertised anywhere, but did not sum up the courage to try. Because of its city center location, no convenient stores are near, but there are 2 24 hour McDonald's and 2 Starbucks within view from our room, for good or worst. If you must get some cheap water and beer, walk out through the front door, take a left, and you will come to a smallish street to your left. There are stores there where 2 bottles of water and 4 cans of local HANS (not bad tasting) beer for 13RMB. Service staff speak varying degrees of English, and there were plenty of Italian, British, and German folks at the hotel.

    Within walking distance to almost everything in town. Two famous Xi'an restaurants serving dumplings and momo are across the street and so is the Muslim quarter that leads to the mosque. Bell and Drum towers near by, and huge shopping centers on the other side of the round about. Climb the South Gate with a 10 minute walk, and everything else by car.

    This was one of the best hotels we stayed in terms of comfort but mostly, location. It was opposite the Bell Tower which was a surreal sight at night (Check out photo on nightlife) and the Katyuan shopping centre. The room and bathroom was quite compact but comfortable. It had satellite TV, fridge, business centre.

    I have included a scanned copy of the hotel card with its Chinese name on it.

    A pleasant 4-star hotel right in the city centre and next to the Bell Tower with a Shopping Mall opposite the hotel.

    I booked a super deluxe room and the room was clean with nice amenities including complimentary toothbrush, shaver, comb, electronic safe, electric kettle, broadband internet points.

    Check-in was smooth with booking done via e-mail throught their website.

    Not to be mistaken with "Bell & Drum Tower Hotel" which is across the road from "Bell Tower Hotel".

    Cost of Room per night about 680RMB. Divided by 5 of us gives less than US$20 per person.

    Well located in front of the Bell Tower and a mall, near the trade streets. We had a balcony.

    • Stayed at the Bell Tower Hotel for 2 nights. The rooms are decently sized and more importantly clean.

    Best thing about the Bell Tower hotel is it's location. It's a short walk from attractions such as the Bell Tower, Drum Tower, South Gate of the old city wall and the muslim quarter. Ask for a room facing the Bell Tower.

    • We were only here two nights. The hotel was very comfortable and well located.Easy to get to the Muslim quarter and to walk around the city.
    WE paid 468 RMB per night without breakfast, and got some good breakfast at KFC just round the corner.There is also a starbucks right by the Bell Tower.I booked it through sinohotel.

    • This hostel has an amazing location - just 50m from the Bell Tower - right in the middle of the city. This place has a big common room, with a pool table and bar/restaurant. I stayed in an 8 bed dorm room in which I was the only person. It is possible for them to pick you up from the train station for free which was an added bonus.

    This hotel is situated, as the name implies, in the old city, near the Bell Tower. It should not be confused, however, with the Bell and Drum Tower Hotel, which is nearby. It is conveniently located within easy walking distance of both the Bell and Drum Towers and the Muslim Quarter, as well as various shopping malls.

    Rooms are comfortable with all mod cons, including tea-making facilities and a glossy hardback coffee table type book about China (which is interesting for what it omits).

    Breakfast is buffet style with a good choice of western and Chinese dishes.
