Turndown service
by Radiomom This is a big hotel. It is located outside the ancient wall (but only a $2 cab ride away) in a bustling business area. The lobby is on the fifth floor of a mixed-use building with an open Hyatt-like atrium soaring up through the hotel room floors. The breakfast buffet is wonderful, with choices to satisfy every nationality. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable (assuming you've gotten used to those hard Chinese beds!). The hotels we are staying at on this tour are much nicer than the 2-3 star places we stay when traveling in Europe or the US. I would say they are all comparable to 4-5 star business hotels in the US, like Doubletree or Marriotts or Hyatts (where I stayed many times as a business traveler). The breakfasts are MUCH better than I'd ever expected. Some people joke that there is always thinly sliced watermelon, but hey, how can that be a complaint?
I can't provide a price as this was part of our tour which turned out to be a jaw-dropping value for the travel dollar.
