Jinan Xing Zuo Binguan (Hotel): Good Hotel & Good Price
Wonderfull stay, Clean rooms and spacely
Unique Quality: Xing Zuo Hotel (Xingzuo Binguan) is located in the middle section of bustling business area--North Park Ave., only a stone 's throw from Furniture Shopping Center, adjacent to Da Ming Lake, Spring City Square, Bao Tu Spring and Thousand Buddha Mountain, etc.
The hotel is equipped with large-scale parking lots and offers parking service for free. The traffic is very convenient, only 10-minute drive from Bus Station and Railway Station. The hotel boasts 87 luxurious rooms, including deluxe room, single room, triple room, deluxe suite and superior business suite. All the rooms are well appointed. Guests can feel warm, comfort and convenience.

4-star and 5-star: Other hotels in Jinan
If you are not so keen on 3-star hotels, note that there are higher-rated and more expensive hotels in town, including the Crowne Plaza (not visited) and the Shandong Hotel (ate there).
The latter is close to the Thusand Buddha Cliff and the Provincial Museum. It is cavernous and looked empty, and is a fair drive from the town centre. I think the current rate is RMB800 + tax, making it poor value to be honest (from what I have seen).
