There are a few bars and clubs, restaurants etc. around Qingdao catering to the foriegn workers. The place listed here has atmosphere making it's home in an old villa, but rumor was that it's demolision was almost due. They have moved before and were ready for more changes.

"A Coastal Delight"
Qingdao is a bit of a surprise.
One expects a quaint German town on the beach, and what you get is this multi-million metropolis. Yes, with German overtunes, but also with a definite Chinese hinterland and a glitzy strip of skyscrapers, reminicent of something out of Americ(s) - Puerto Rico, maybe? Lucklily, the sea front remains an attraction for just about all stakeholders in this city's development; it's both the reward and the reason for much of Qingdao's existence. Let it remain so!
"More information?"
It takes some effort to piece together all you need to know to travel and visit to Qingdao. My best advice is that you use several sources and compose your trip that way. Below are the official information sources on Qingdao.
