Even if you order soup noodle, it is customary that the noodles only come in a bowl and a pair of chopsticks. The locals drink their soup from the bowls, or don't drink the soup at all.
You will have to request for a spoon. It is called "Xiao3 Shao2 Zi3".
QingDao has nice beach, it always crowned when summer time, I skip the hot time and go there on early sep, it is less people and QingDao Beer Festival just finished.... good view, good price... still can swim in the sea.
old german style house still ok, looks very nice, red huts and blue sea.....
