Kongjun Binguan (zhaodaisuo): Not in the guidebooks
Another one worth trying would be Kongjun Binguan (zhaodaisuo), near the "back route" of Taishan, quite close to the summit. I haven't seen this hotel mentioned in guidebooks so I think it's worth listing. Rooms seem to be pretty cheap as well, about 100 RMB/night.

Guanri Binguan & Bayi Binguan: Best Sunrise View Hotels on Taishan
The best hotels for sunrise viewing would be Guanri Binguan and Bayi Binguan. These 2 unmissable hotels are next to each other at Guanri peak which's the best spot for watching sunrise. If you get a good room, you can watch the sunrise from the comfort of your room. We didn't stay there but I was quoted about 200 RMB for twin with ensuite at Guanri Binguan.
Best sunrise views on Taishan.

Mountain Radio Hotel (Diantai Binguan): Unique "Landmark" for Hotel
Mountain Radio Hotel aka Diantai Binguan was where we stayed. It has a fab location near Yuhuang Temple (highest point of Taishan).
There're different kinds of rooms, twins with ensuite for 160 or 120 RMB and twins without bathing facilities for 80 RMB. We stayed on a Friday night and bargained the 160 RMB room to 120 RMB. The rooms are clean and have TV but no aircon. Check that the TV reception works, I was specifically looking for Hunan TV and tried 3 TVs in various rooms before settling on one.
Bring pliers if you want unlimited hot water for shower. ;)
There's a cafeteria of sorts on-site but we didn't eat there.
Not sure if they've English speakers either.
Pretty decent sunrise view. 5-10 mins walk to sunrise viewing vantage point.
Very easy to spot and recognise as there're huge satellite dishes in the compound!

Nantienmen hotel: Top of the mountain accomodation
This hotel is one of teh first you see when you arrive, exhausted, through the south gate to heaven at the top of Tai Shan.
Room rates came down rapidly from 460 to 200 Yuan on negotiation.
The rooms are pretty horrid. The bathroom was filthy and the cleanliness of the sheets was dubious. Also the hotel was very noisy. Unfortunately this is par for the course on Tai Shan as there are quite a lot of people who want to stay there.
The hotel staff come and bang on your door early in the morning so that you can go and watch the sunrise.
Views from the room I had were outstanding which almost made up for the total lack of comfort.
