Grand Hyatt: Grand Hyatt not best value for money
Of course the Grand Hyatt in the JinmoaoTower is a very nice hotel. However, maybe because the lobby is on the 54th floor (rather than the entrance on the 1st floor), and because one must take so many elevators to get from place to place within the hotel, I find the hotel less than convenient, especially if you are staying there on holiday.
Also, if you have one of the cheaper rooms that faces Pudong (rather than Puxi), then it's really not so great. Yes you're high up but you can't see anything.
Stay in Puxi and take a trip to one of the Grand Hyatt bars for drinks.

RENAISSANCE SHANGHAI PUDONG HOTEL: BEST HOTEL IN PUDONG
Stayed here twice for a business travel, very good experience on both times. The staff at this hotel are very accommodating and customer-oriented. The rooms are spacious, very good layout. A lot of choices for breakfast.
