Anyone have an idea where I can find a professional flat iron (e.g. CHI, GHD or NHD brand) in Shanghai? Also, are they any cheaper than Western countries? If anyone could give a price indication, that'd be great.

I dont know what professional exactly mean. There are many flat iron brands in electric appliances market or supermarket.The price ranges from 30~80$.
I dont know if u can find one in shanghai but i got mine 3yrs ago in bremen, germany... cost me like $39.90 euro and oh god they are very very good... still using the same one! my advise... go and get it in germany... (this is my 3rd flat iron.. the first 2.. they were useless... bought in s'pore and bkk)
I live in Shanghai and have not found a good one here - have tried several and none are very good. I use my CHI from the US plugged into a huge transformer.

Try the underground market at People's Square. It's a long, slow hunt for a flat iron but you'll find one eventually. I've found some very professional ones!
The Grand Theatre Actually, the picture is not enough to show its grand. In this symbol architecture, you can appraciate so-called elegance arts. But for the majority of Shanghai citizens, it seems too 'high' not only its art level but also its price...:(

Shanghai being a big and modern city,I always suspected there is a shuttle service between the airports.
I was not able to search for the information needed, I had visited their site as given by you earlier but using Firefox browser I was not able to proceed to the land transport page.
After reading your reply I accessed the land transport page by using microsoft internet browser and finally I could get the desired information.
I guess Firefox browser has its disadvantages too.
a fast food selling shanghai dumpling within yuyuan garden.
steaming hot shanghai dumpling (xiao long pow) and it comes in baskets of teens. most local people eat lots of them. i could not understand why...until you eat it. pretty hot and has just enough meat and enough meat sauce oozing out of the dumpling!!! xiao long pow - long queue but worth it
This river is a mere 110 km in length from its source, Dianshan Lake to its junction with the Yangzi River, 28 km downstream from Shanghai. It is fascinating and there is much for the eye to take in, from the great waterfront at the Bund, and burgeoning modern metropolis on Pudong, to the bustling docks that line the Huangpu all the way to the Yangzi. The boats depart between Nanjing Lu and Tan'an Lu. The one hour trip takes you as far as the Yangpu Bridge but there is also a 3.5 hour trip all the way to Yangzi River. Very worthwhile!!
If you were thinking in China are not big metropolis, then you have to go to Shangai to change your mind.
