Bridge over Yangzi River
This is the bridge I took everytime when I went to/got back from the airport in Pudong (PVG). When the weather is clear, you can see very gorgeous scene along the Yang zi river. Get your camera ready then.

Anyone stayed there before. I need more info on their rooms & facilities.
I have walked by it but did not stay there. It is in a very convenient location. I just did a search both on VT and google and found lots of reviews.
Have stayed before and also had friends/other travellers who've stayed there before.
Generally I wouldn't recommend it to anyone I consider a friend -- mainly because of the god-awful service.
My goodness.......I'd already booked there but just for 1 night only. Anyway, I just want to know whether they have a luggage room or not. Any charges? I'd emailed them but no reply yet.
They're one of the rare idiotic places (and a HI hostel, worst luck) in China which actually do CHARGE for left luggage! None of the other hotels/hostels/guesthouses that I've stayed in, in China, has that rule. The charge is per piece.
Alright........so how's the charges like? How much per day? I should be leaving my luggage there for about 4-5 days.
Can't remember. Might be 10 RMB/bag, not sure if it adds up across the days.

Shanghai has all different kinds of clubs that you can find in the other part of the world. If Fast beat is what you want, Armani at Panyu Road is your choice. Small west coast like bar, Tongren Road is the place you should go. For variaties or some &(*&( stuff, South Maoming Road is the deal. Watch out for hookers if you are not actually lookin' for one. Go and enjoy your fancy nightlife in Shanghai.
Lu Bo Lang (Green Wave Pavilion) is an old and famous Shanghainese restaurant in Yu Bazaar. Obviously a bit touristy, it nonetheless serves up reasonably priced local food in pleasant surroundings. The staff are used to visitors and will guide you through the menu if you are unfamiliar with Shanghainese food.
As mentioned above, Yuyuan Bazaar was evolved from the marketplace in front of Chenghuang Miao back in the latter years of the Qing Dynasty. Despite being renamed as Yuyuan Bazaar during the Cultural Revolution, Chenghuang Miao's still the name widely known among the locals.
As most elder locals will say, a scroll in Chenghuang Miao is always a good way to join the lively scene and spend an otherwise uneventful weekend afternoon.
Shanghai is known as the 'Paris of the East' and is the second largest city in China with a population of 17 million people. The city is known for its favorable geographic location and lies at the mouth of the Yangtze river, in the middle of China's main coastline. It is the earliest developed city. Many of the high rises that are seen today have only been built within the past 15 years, and the architecture seen can be characterized by EAST and WEST. The city is an exhibition hall for architecture. One big change occurs every 3 years. So, if you were to visit this year and return 3 years later, the city would probably have been altered to a point beyond recognition. No one seems to sleep here. There are people working around the clock, day and night, constructing new structures and so forth. Shanghai is also believed to overtake Hong Kong in the future and can best be remembered by the '3 MANY'S':
MANY people, MANY shops, and MANY bicycles.
I love the city's transformation when day turns into night. A truly spectacular showcase of lights.
