Expensive and nice !!!!

I enjoy staying at Four Seasons Hotels around the world, usually because of one word +++SERVICE+++++ And this one was no exception. We arrived in the mid afternoon and we're greeted warmly and quickly checked in and taken to our room. The room itself was a bit small, but like all Four Seasons, the bathroom was ultra-luxurious. The location is OK, but since transportation in China is so cheap, it really didn't matter. After setting our stuff down, we contacted the concierge and asked him to confirm some dinner reservations, after a slight mix up some the dates and times, it was all taken care of. The next morning is where the signature Four Seasons service comes into play. We were awoken by the sound of thunder and hammers as a new high rise is being built right next to the hotel. I headed down to the hotel front desk and explained the situation, I wasn't even finished explaining before they were moving me to a executive suite on the 38th floor on the opposite side of the construction site. ++++SERVICE++++++ The hotel itself has a an indoor pool with great locker rooms and tons and tons of employees ready to help. And everyone speaks enough English to communicate your needs and desire's. If they don't understand, they get another person who will understand you !!!!

Unique Quality: The doorman always asked where we were going and made sure we had the hotel card written in Chinese, and always instructed the taxi driver to turn on the Air Conditioner and the meter.

Just what you expect

As you would expect from the Four Seasons, this is a very nice hotel. I stayed for a week for a conference and had a good time. The room was very comfortable and the food was good. The downside is the location - the hotel is not in Pudong and is not particularly close to the Bund (30 to 40 minute walk). On the plus side, it is only a block from the metro station so you are able to get around without too much trouble.

This is a great hotel for business. The meeting facilities are nice. Rooms all have internet access available (100RMB per day).

Most comfortable bed in the world

Wow....what can I say ? The moment, my back hit the mattresss, I did not want to get up at all. The toilettes were super and you feel that you are living in a palace or a Spa. Service at the front desk and restaurant were very good.

We arrived at 7am and the rooms were not available yet but they will direct you to places to rest or freshen up while we wait for the room to be ready.

We tried the Chinese Restaurant there and though it was pricey, it was anytime more worth it than M at the Bund !

Walk across the road and you will find 1 or 2 small factory outlet shops. Almost impossible to get any discount from the shops there.

Unique Quality: Check out the Mattress !!!!
