Cakes With Real Cream!
by niki68 about Sankaeya
When I discovered this bakery I was in heaven! They specialise in cakes and puddings and you can eat in or take away. There is a great choice of cakes including chocolate eclairs with real cream and custard! The chilled vanilla puddings where to die for and everything was reasonably priced. The dining area is a good size and has a relaxed atmosphere. It is the perfect stop for afternoon tea or a late night treat. They also serve tea and coffee. The staff is very friendly but not many of them speak English, however what they lack in language skills they more than make up for in enthusiasm! This store became a favourite haunt over my 8 day stay in Shanghai. It centrally located and easy to find. Definitely recommended for those of you with a sweet tooth! Everything!!!

Memorial House of the First National Congress of the CPC: this is well worth a visit especially if you are interested in Chinese history.
The museum itself is in the original house that the first momentous meeting of the National Congress of the Communist Party was held and contains photographs and other documents relevant to the first meetings of the CCP as well as a model of the main participants of the first meeting.
What is really good is that the photographs and other documents have detailed explanations and chronology in English. The original table and settings are also on display. It would take about an hour to an hour and a half to read and digest the exhibits.
Unfortunately, you cannot take any photographs once inside the display area.
Signage is not very good from the railway station. As you come out from the subway turnright . The entrance is a little convoluted to get to (Side Street).
Opening hours: 9:00am – 5:00pm each day. No admission after 4:00pm.
Cost: 3 Yuan

"Garden Yu"
I've been to China several times and this one was taken last year before the Chinese New Year. You see all the crap which is supposed to be the New Year's decoration?
"Pudong Panorama"
The Oriental Pearl TV Tower is located in Pudong Park in Lujiazui, Shanghai. The tower, surrounded by the Yangpu Bridge in the northeast and the Nanpu Bridge in the southwest, creates a picture of 'twin dragons playing with pearls'. The entire scene is a photographic jewel that excites the imagination. You can get to Pudong by a boat, need to get a ticket first. It is possible to go inside the Tower. The second tallest building in the pic is Jin Mao Tower, one of the tallest buildings in the world. There is a super fast lift which takes you to the top of the building in a few seconds.
"Nanjing Street in Shanghai"
Nanjing Street, five kilometres long, is China's most famous shopping street, with an average of one million shoppers and visitors every day! That is a lot of people! :-)
