Heard that there's a speed train running from Shanghai to Hangzhou. Would appreciate if fellow VTers can help on the following :-
1) What time is the last train?
2) How long does the journey takes?
3) How much does it cost?
4) Frequency of the speed train
5) Do we have to buy the tickets in advance? If so, where can we get them?

I am also interested about the speed train as well. Does anyone has some info regarding this?
1), 2) and 3) Latest train for Shanghai South -- Hangzhou is D683 (2001--2125). This train takes 1h24min. Fare is 54/64 RMB for 2nd/1st-class tickets, one-way.
4) 10 daily in either direction, but not really spread out evenly.
5) Yes, especially if you're wanting to travel on Fri, Sat or Sun.

The DFS in terminal 2 (the new terminal) of Pudong Airport is quite good.
I've also seen what looks like a DFS in the Jing'an district of Shanghai, on Jiangning Road (near Xin Zha Rd). From Nanjing Road West, that's about 6 blocks north on Jiangning Rd, on the left hand side. I've never been inside though. (MAY 2010 - I've been to the DFS on Jiangning Lu; overall it's not impressive, doesn't have very much and prices don't seem that good.)

This is extensive and flavourful array of curry dishes will be appreciated by the most discriminating diner. The service is attentive and the facilities are spotless. It was difficult to finally declare defeat and struggle reluctantly away from the table.

One of the highlights of a visit to Shanghai (or China for that matter) is seeing a performance of the Shanghai acrobats. These amazing entertainers put on a great show, performing a wide-variety of stunts. And at around Y100 a pop, it's more than a bargain.
Moved from Vancouver after an excellent year learning everything about photography.
I'm now back in teaching working for the British International School of Shanghai.
